Does basic insurance pay?
Only under official conditions — the analysis list states verbatim (German original):
1. Bei Nachweis von 1 Keim pro Reaktionsansatz oder als 1. Keim bei einem Reaktionsansatz zum Nachweis mehrerer Keime. 2. Pro Reaktionsansatz dürfen maximal 5 Keime, Resistenzgene und/oder Pathogenitätsfaktoren verrechnet werden (1 Keim, Resistenzgen und/oder Pathogenitätsfaktor als 1. Keim, Resistenzgen oder Pathogenitätsfaktor und maximal 4 Keime, Resistenzgene und/oder Pathogenitätsfaktoren als zusätzliche Keime, Resistenzgene oder Pathogenitätsfaktoren).
Without these conditions you pay yourself — that is by design, not an error. And even when the condition is met: only if a doctor orders the analysis.
